Internship
Prerequisites for degree course: preparatory internship
As preparation for your degree and to complement your basic knowledge, we normally make an internship a prerequisite when applying for a place on the bachelor’s degree course Mechanical and Process Engineering. This will give you an initial insight into the workflows and organization of a production facility or into the processes of the chemicals industry. So that you can understand the course content better and concentrate on the teaching material during your bachelor’s course, we recommend that you complete the internship before you commence your degree.
In exceptional cases and with good reason, the faculty may issue an enrollment certificate without a preparatory internship. In this case, you must complete the internship before the fourth semester.
If you have completed an apprenticeship in a metalworking or similar profession, this will be counted as a preparatory internship. You may use this form as proof of your internship. You must present your proof or a contract for the preparatory internship upon enrollment.
You can find all the information in the internship guidelines.
If you have any questions, you may contact our Academic Advisory Office.
